Logistical Challenges
During COVID-19, we were asked to operate a drop shipment from a factory in Minsk, Belarus to one of our clients.
The intended cargo contained medicine that had to be temperature controlled at 150-250 C, along with thermal blankets and data loggers for temperature measurements.
Solution
The complex shipment had a few stages: from transporting 16 pallets in temperature-controlled trucks to a controlled warehouse, including wrapping the cargo in thermal blankets. In the second stage, flying the cargo from Shenzhen, China to Liège, Belgium. There, the cargo was loaded onto temperature-controlled trucks and transported 1,500 km to its final destination in Minsk, Belarus.
The drop shipment process from China to Minsk proved a success and reached its destination intact, without any temperature abnormalities.
